Arundel & South Downs MP, Andrew Griffith, joined hundreds of fundraisers at Arundel Castle Park for the Snowdrop Trust’s annual sponsored walk on Sunday (9th May).
The MP joined the Trust’s founder, Di Levantine, and Nick Herbert CBE, Lord of South Downs and Patron of The Sussex Snowdrop Trust, at the start of the event in the castle’s beautiful park.
Tickets for the walk sold out within hours of being released with many families wanting to take part and raise money for the Trust – a Walberton-based charity which provides nursing care at home for children with life threatening and terminal illnesses.
The annual walk around the Castle Park is one of the highlights in the Snowdrop Trust’s fundraising calendar. Last year it had to take place virtually, through a video which captured the beauty of the castle’s park. The Trust were delighted to see the return of walkers at this year’s gathering.
The event helped to raise money to support the charity’s £350,000 annual costs, providing specialist nurses who support the ‘Snowdrop’ children and their families in their own homes.

Andrew Griffith MP said:
“It was a real delight to support Di and the Trust at this year’s walk. They do such incredible work for local children and their families. It was a wonderful way to enjoy the open space of the castle park and be part of the fundraising effort for such a good cause.”
