Following a two year absence, the popular Findon Sheep Fair and Village Festival welcomed back of visitors including Arundel and South Downs MP.
Rooted in history, the annual three-day fair, first permitted by Charter around 1261, proudly featured over 35 breeds of sheep, and gave visitors a sense of the hard work and agricultural skillset needed to care for farm animals.
The Harris Fun Fair, based in Ashington, has also been a long tradition of the Findon Village Festival since the 1940s and was once again providing thrills and nostalgia with their vintage rides.
The local MP joined Head Judge Bob Coleman and three younger generations of the Coleman family, toured the grounds, and met many of the farmers proudly displaying their livestock.
Head Judge Bob had the important role of overseeing the choice of Supreme Champion – this year won by Viv and David Miles for their Hampshire ram. Other awards included Most Successful Young Shepherd and Supreme Champion Young Shepherd.
