Arundel and South Downs MP Andrew Griffith started the New Year with a visit to one of the area’s newest vaccination clinics at Petworth Surgery where he thanked the team personally for helping in the urgent national booster effort.
Andrew met with Clinical Pharmacist, Ali Mohamadi, and Practice Nurse, Brigid Curtis, (both pictured) at the start of Tuesday afternoon’s vaccinations booster clinic. Despite the surgery only starting vaccinations in the week before Christmas they have already provided booster jabs to more than 400 local patients.
Andrew said:
“I am delighted that the Petworth Surgery has been given the support to run their own vaccination clinic. As with many rural areas, it is not always easy for people to access the larger vaccination hubs. The team here have doubled down to provide a service for their patients and are making terrific progress. Getting boosted is our best defence against the Omircron variant and I urge everyone to come forward for their booster now.”
