As a result of the unusual 'freeze-and-thaw' weather we have had recently, potholes have become an issue that is affecting an increasing number of residents.

West Sussex County Council are getting on with tackling this issue. Indeed, last year, over 50,000 potholes were fixed and their teams are working flat-out to fill new holes in. But often, they are not aware of particular issues as they cannot be everywhere at once. That is why it is important that you take the time to report the potholes affecting you.

Andrew Griffith is given a demo of pothole-busting machine in Fittleworth

Andrew Griffith MP joined one of West Sussex County Council’s pothole gangs as they went out fixing potholes in Fittleworth on Friday afternoon (7th May).   The MP wanted to see for himself how the pothole repair work is identified, carried out and followed up with inspections.   He
